Elevate5 is on a mission to help women entrepreneurs shine their light more brightly.
And to shine that light, they must first clearly see themselves through their worth, their gifts, and their purpose. And then they must bring that vision before others in a powerful way so their business can see the type of results and success that are only created when your faith, your gifts, your skills, and a big God are all on your side.
In 2014 Elevate5 was formed after Cara and JoDee felt a calling. In fact, the business was named through that calling and through a verse they felt they were charged to follow. That verse was Matthew 5:16 – hence the name, Elevate5.
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16
So, if we’re all going to hang out here, there are probably some things you should know about Cara, JoDee and the team over at Elevate5. There are some core beliefs that we hold dear. About ourselves and you. The woman who is aiming to grow her life and her business in this next season.

You have a calling AND a story. In your business, you will need to discover both.
We believe you have a calling. Don’t panic. You do. You have one. It is likely right there in front of your nose where everyone but you can see it. You just need an experienced guide to ask the right questions, adjust your perspective, and tie the right loose ends. And, voila! You will finally see what you always-never knew was right there.
And that calling is tied to your story. Promise. And that story must be shared for you to be fully living and serving in your purpose. In fact, it will likely be the very signal to attract the people looking for the help you have to share. And the harder your story, the more important it will be for you to get help in the telling. And the more important it will be for you to heal in the sharing and others to hear as they journey to where you are now.

You must love both your business and your life to truly be successful.
We believe you must build the right business for you. And the people you are called to serve. The ‘right business’ is built in the happy middle between what others truly need, what you are gifted at doing, and who you most love serving. The right business gives you the space to be yourself. To explore the next level of the authentic you, over and over and over again. We cannot possibly say this loud enough. Your business must be the ‘right’ business for you to truly shine from that platform.
The business you create should also allow you to love your life. Your business model must be the vehicle for you to not only serve in an aligned fashion but also to LIVE in one. In fact, Elevate5 was BUILT on the foundation that we wanted to be home to raise our children and experience life differently than what we found in corporate opportunities. We wanted to create meaningful work, make a difference, and be there for our families. And, gasp, we also wanted to earn a healthy living at the same time. We decided this was possible and set out to create it. And it’s possible for you too.

Keep learning. Keep working.
We believe in learning AND working. Read the books. Listen to the podcasts. Attend the conferences. Get the resources. Learn all the things and keep on learning. And then, do what no one else does, and put what you learn TO WORK. This is what sets you apart. It isn’t that big program you bought… it’s applying all the parts to your business. THAT is what will keep your business going and pushing into new levels of results – the APPLICATION of the learning.
In order to both keep learning and working, it is really helpful to have both a mentor and a community. The mentor or coach will teach you. Lead you. Hold you accountable to what you swear you will achieve. They will be the push that will help you get past your fear time and time again. They will hold space for you even when you feel small. Even when you feel defeated. Even when that next big clients says ‘no’. Because those let downs happen. To. Us. All. And that coach will push you right past that failure into your next big chance to succeed.
And the community, it will be your safety net. It will remind you of what the tough days look like. That it isn’t just you who struggles. It will also teach you to expect more of yourself. And you keep pushing. And, further, it will teach you to cheer for the woman that just got the client, or the speaking gig, or the opportunity that you’ve been hoping for for yourself. And that character that will take you places. Real places.

Show up. Over and over and over again.
We believe you must show up. Consistently. For YEARS. We know it sounds simple. But there is so much truth here. In order to see your business succeed, you must make the effort to show up. Over and over and over again. On good days. Bad days. In-between days. You must show up at the conference, at the event, for the meeting, on the stage, with the client, on social media, and in the back room. You must show up for your client. For your team. And most importantly, you must show up for yourself.
And what about after you fail? Because you WILL. You must especially show up then. Love, you need to be gritty to succeed. You must be willing to dig down and grab hold of that next level of yourself. And push that self ahead. Even when you’d actually much rather feel like a nap and a snack. Or maybe a freakin’ drink if we’re honest. That is when you press through to the next level. While we hold zero belief in the grind (the over doing of all the pointless things), we sure do believe that you need to be gritty, gritty, gritty to keep going to push yourself and your business through tough seasons.

Your faith will carry you when you cannot.
We believe in YOU.
At some point in your business growth, you will hit the wall. You know the one. If you’ve been on this planet, you’ve certainly met this particular wall before. It’s not really the wall of failure per se. That’s a different wall altogether. This wall. This wall is the wall of exhaustion. Of overwhelm. Of THIS IS HARD. The wall of ‘What if I just quit?’
Funny enough, this very wall is also a gift. It delivers two distinct messages to the business owner. One: it is simpler than you’re making it, sweetheart. Stop overcomplicating and look for simple. The big rocks. The tasks that make the difference. Do THOSE. Two: your best travel companion will always be your faith. Your faith in G-O-D. Your faith in His purpose for you. Your faith that you are here on purpose, for a purpose. And, your faith in YOURSELF. Your faith that you’ve gotten you this far, why not overcome this next hurdle too?
And, sister, if you can plug back into those two things… simplicity and faith. You be amazed at what will come back into perspective again. And, while you’re at it, maybe have a nap and snack, too. And some water. And a walk. And some time in the woods. Or maybe a pedicure and a good stout margarita with your very best, most snarky funny friend. And most definitely an out-loud, old-fashioned, raise-the-roof kitchen prayer session. And a full night’s sleep for heaven’s sake. EXHALE.
And then you’ll be absolutely amazed at how you’ll find center again. And worth. And humor. And the purpose and the drive to go again. Because we need you. We all do.
And girl, you can do it. You ARE doing it.
All the love,
JoDee
